*Note* When you create a character make a separate topic on this board with the CHARACTERS NAME as the title.
The max points for a character base stats are 95, which will balance the game since most CAWs should be very powerful at the beginning of the game. The rest of the stats can be in any range.
To determine a CAWs stats each player will be given 400 points to distribute to each stat, BUT, you can choose not to use up all 400 points, and any extra points left over you gain gold based on how many points you had left. So a person who used all 400 points would gain 0 gold to start the game with, while someone who used only 350 points could gain, 2500 gold (50 gold a stat point)
**NEXT GAME**
A player may NOT have more then 2 stats with 95, nor 3 stats with 90+

In my opinion, RNG is a shitty way to do this. I mean, someone could make a character with the intention of being a Strategist, and end up with 3 INT. I think we should be forced to make a Bio of some sort, and Mods or Admin make stats fairly based off of what is presented, and reduce the extra points to 20.
My two cents.

i think that we should scrap the admins doing stats for u, i think that every CAW should b the same strength, so when u make them u r given 420 pts to start with and u distribute ur pts given to u throughout all ur stats tho none can go over 95.

Thing is, in ROTK, you do use an RNG (at least in 8 you did) when creating a CAW. You did, of course, get as many rerolls as you wanted - which isn't fair here.
Other thing is - every CAW would have the same starting HP - and it's higher than say, Dun's or Zhuge Liang's. Heck, it's pushing Cao Cao's. 420 is WAAAY too much, unless you want to ban the use of historical characters. I'd say 375 - puts you close to say, Huang Zhong, who was no slouch at anything, really. Thus, CAWs are not overpowered, but not weak either (10 Huang Zhongs = C1 of doom in DW)

420 was just an example, i nvr said it was final im just trying to say that we should get a certain # of points and distribute them ourselves, so that our chars can come out just how we want em to.
also if u havnt notice this isnt ROTK 8, not to b rude r anything but just because some rotk game did rng, it doesnt mean that we have to. also if we do rng, then we could end up w/ some character u didnt plan, if u want an int/war character then u could end up w/ some cha/led character u didnt want. il admit that tai's bio idea is good but i dont think that we should use alot of time making a long bio just to determine ur stats if u can just do it urself

In the earlier ROTK games, you RNGed your leader (Cao Cao, Liu Bei, the other guys in the other scenarios). In 10, you have unlimited points for CAWs.
Anyone know if any RNGs have a range you can set? Like, instead of "1 - whatever" (1 - 200), you can set it to "something - whatever" (100 - 200). RNG the stat points, and let the players set up the stats.
Yeah. People are going to bitch that "so and so got 300 to distribute and I only got 190". But people will bitch about anything.

Of course I do. I could make it 1- 999,999,999 if I so desired. I'd paste the link, but my brother is currently on my comp, which has said RNG.

So you could have a perfect officer corps in ROTKX (as in say ten 100 x 5 stat'd characters?)
