(This is the type of peace I have been fighting to obtain. Though this war has caused much bloodshed and I have had to kill many, the new generation will be able to sit and enjoy life as its meant to be, not by fighting and by war, but by nature and peace.)

Gan Ning slowly walked into view on the opposite end of the Yellow River from where Zhou sits. His sword was in hands resting on Ning's right shoulder, waiting for its thirst of blood to be quenched. A rather serious expression was on his face instead of his usual cocky grin. "Zhou Yu....this battle will decide the fate of this land. If you become victorious, then the land will be ruled by the most worthy one. And if you shall fail, then you will not rule it. And your heir will take over for you."

*Hearing Gan Nings voice Zhou Yu opens his eyes but just stares at the river infront of him*
"Ah, so you have changed your mind and deicided on bloodshed rather then mercy? The last time we spoke of this, you said if I lost I would still live. Whatever, it matter not. Just before we fight, answer this. Your kingdom is gone, my kingdom is the only one that remains within China. I stand unchallenged and undefeatable. If you were to kill me here and now, the only way you would escape death is through suicide. Why is it that you continue to fight?"

He then pointed his sword towards Zhou Yu and yelled out,"If you were to be beaten by a lowly pirate such as myself. You don't deserve to rule this land. And I no longer care about my life. All I care about is this great land. I'll give my life for it to be taken care of by a most worthy man. "

"Ah, so even you think of yourself as a lowly pirate. Well, let's get this over with, I have neither the time nor the patience."
*Zhou Yu picks up his sword that lays next to him and lefts himself off the ground. He then readies his sword in his right hand and places his feet for quick manuevering*

"I got all the time in the world. But if you say so. I'll make it quick." His usual cocky self reawakened eager for the upcoming fight. He stood firm to the ground then ran towards the river and jumped over it towards the man. While in the air he lifted his sword high to slice at Zhou Yu.

*Zhou Yu easily moves out of Gan Ning's swords range with a few side steps, then plants his feet on the ground and raises his sword in an upward slash towards Gan Ning*

(OOC: An upward slash is you slash up, your doing an downward slash. Just saying.)
Gan Ning grins and swiftly jumped back a feet or two. Then lunges forward and slices the sword with quickness and power. Attempting to knock the sword out of his hands.

*Zhou Yu grips his sword with both hands and jumps back as soon as he sees Gan Ning lunge, however, not far enough to be out of range and meets Gan Ning's sword with his*
"That might have worked before, but my skill with a sword is much greater then it used to be"

"I realize that pretty boy. If we were fighting many months ago, I would have easily killed you." Gan Ning then sides step out of the meeting of swords. He was still of close range, and close enough to the skull of Zhou Yu's."But...I'm still better." And with the hilt of his swords handle he smashes it down towards Zhou Yu's skull with precision and swiftness. He knows that doing a slash with his sword would be too much of time and not fast enough to strike the man he's dueling with.

(I knew getting in close was a bad idea...but it's too late now)
*Seeing that there was no way Zhou Yu could dodge this attack Zhou Yu turns his blade so it's horizantal and slashes his sword towards Gan Ning's sides and chest* (I can't esape, but if you want to hit me, neither can you)

Gan Ning abandons his move and blocks the attack and jumps back,"Very nice move Zhou Yu....but I wished I had a more chance of killing you if I get hit by that attack. But there was a chance I couldn't have killed you with my last move." And without stalling, Gan Ning puts his sword to his right side and starts charging towards Zhou Yu like a bull. But he was going left to right to try and confuse him. And once he was close enough, he made a a sharp turn to the left. The sword would be slashing towards Zhou Yu in the side, making him bleed to death if he doesn't get patched up. Also the sword and Gan Ning was going in an amazing speed when it happened.

(If I thought this right, your turning left so you would be slashing my left side)
*Zhou Yu is amazed at Gan Ning's speed but quickly puts a grin on his face*
"Like I said, it doesn't matter to me whether I die or not"
*With that Zhou Yu put out his left arm to the side of it would meet with the blade of the sword. At the same time he planted his left foot, and took a step towards Gan Ning with his right while slashing at Gan Ning left leg*

Gan Ning coninued his attack but slowed down so he would avoid the slash to only get a minor cut on his leg. But he was bleeding nontheless. And it was still painful though. But, since his blade was long and he was still in good striking speed, he hits Zhou Yu's arm. Maybe cutting it off if he was lucky. But...the slash on his leg was hurting and burning in pain. But he ignored it.
(So your saying that your arm would be hit instead?)

*Zhou Yu feels a pain surge into his left arm and notices it is bleeding, deep, though nothing fatal. He saw the cut on Gan Ning's leg and was hopefull, though he knew this duel wasn't over yet. With one quick action, he launched of his left to the side of Gan Ning(Ning's left) and then sprung off his right foot thrust his sword at Gan Ning's chest*
(And yes, but it would be parralel with your swords blade, so you would have to cut through the whole arm of my bone to take it off)
