I found about it when I wented to this little game store long ago and found ROTK3 for $5 so I bought it. At first I didn't know what the hell was going on in that game or knew how to play it. So as I got a little older, I began to realize it was a Strategy game and learn how to play it. Thus, I began addicted to ROTK.

One of my friend was playing Dynasty Warriors 3 at his house when I came over and we played the 2-player together, him being Xiahou Dun and me Dian Wei. At Chi Bi he kept on running into mass crowds and getting killed, so I asked him if I could borrow it. Then I beat it with Guan Yu and Zhou Yu, and it wasn't long before DW4 came out.
At first I thought all the names and stuff were fictional, then I found out about it and the whole ROTK books.

Heard about. Earliest I could remember. Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3 in an old Nintendo Power.
Played. Dynasty Warriors 3 demo at Best Buy. I knew one thing, and didn't know another. I had to get this game. And what was it called again?

When DW3 came out... and I couldn't afford it... I traded an unopened Armored Core in for the DW3

I played a demo dynasty warriors for the PS1 from official UK playstation magazine then I played the DW3 demo from official UK playstation 2 magazine and bought it when it went down in the January sales and I read a preview of romance of the three kingdoms 8 in the same mag and I bought that when it went down to £19.99 so I owe my liking of DW and wanting more ROTK games to official UK playstation magazine

My brother's friend gave him ROTK3 for the SNES for his 15th birthday I think like 10 years ago. I always played as Lu Bu cause I liked his symbol. Then, I saw my parents watching the T.V. series one day and I watched it with them. Learned about ROTK and read the Chinese comic books.
Fast Forward about 6 years later, I got my PS2 and the first game I brought was Dynasty Warriors 3.

I was about 4 or 5 when we had the very first one.. I would try to understand it, but couldn't so my cousin had to explain everything to me, soon I got the hang of it and am now obsessed with it. *Eye twitches.*

Dw4 friends house. I bought DW3 the next day (10 Aussie dollars....).
ROTK 8 was a lucky find. (Friend is borrowing - Yuan Shao's kicking the ass out of Cao Cao (I'm Dun, of course, and even killing eight enemy armies isn't enough in a battle to start winning the battle. Why do CPU lieges suck balls - and attack gates at the worst possible moment?)

I played DW4, back a couple years ago, and I already had read some of the book. I think I chose Cao Pi and played the Yellow Turban Rebellion. And the "Zhang Bao, Zhang Bao, I GRANT YOU POWA" xD That was great.
Then I tried ROTK VI and liked it, so I went out and bought myself ROTK X. They had ROTK VII, but it was almost as expensive as the tenth. I got the display copy of ROTK X, but that's okay. It was an EB, so they take out the game and instructions anyways. I'm probably the only one who actually picked it up and looked at it.

Got to love the bad VAing in DW. And the complete lack thereof in ROTK. I mean - grab 700 people off the street, and get them to say a few lines. Not hard...
